Family Facilitation

The attorneys at Hamilton Faatz and Waller, PC assist clients with family facilitation, a process in which family members work together with a trained facilitator (typically a mediator specifically trained in issues affecting the elderly) to positively resolve the issues surrounding aging, death and dying and other matters faced by the elderly population. The goal of family facilitation is to intervene early in the process, thereby avoiding permanent schisms, often generational, between parents, children, step-parents, step-children, siblings and other family members. Often, referrals are made to appropriate agencies or professionals such as a geriatric care manager.
